Since we are saved by grace, does that mean that we can sin whenever we want?

The Apostle Paul states it best in Romans 6:1-2:  “What shall we say then?  Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound?  God forbid.  How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein?”  Once we have accepted the work of Christ for salvation, we have become dead to sin and therefore free from it (Romans 6:7).  Since Jesus has freed us from sin, why would we want to go back to bondage and continue to live a life that was pointless and meaningless anyways?  Isn’t that why we sought salvation in the first place?  So remember just because we are free from sin, it doesn’t mean that we can freely sin.
