Should Christians use the phrase, “I saved someone?”

Truthfully, we as humans cannot spiritually save anyone.  So, to state that we have spiritually saved someone would be incorrect.  The one who is able to spiritually save anyone is Jesus Christ.  We may lead someone to the Lord or show them how to be saved, but we are not the ones that do the saving.  We plant seeds and water, but God is the one who saves and gives the increase (1 Corinthians 3:6).  It is through Christ alone that we are saved and we need to make sure that He alone gets all the credit (Galatians 6:14; 1 Timothy 1:15).
