What did Jesus do with the sin He took upon Himself?

Once the sin of the whole world was upon Jesus He literally became sin (2 Corinthians 5:21).  Upon Jesus allowing Himself to die (Luke 23:46), He went to hell (Acts 2:27-31).  While the body of Jesus was three days and nights in the tomb His soul was dropping off all the sin of the world in hell; literally paying the price for us so we would not have to endure God’s judgment (1 Corinthians 6:20).  While there Jesus preached to the lost in hell proclaiming His sacrifice for sin and condemning them through His sacrifice (1 Peter 3:18-19).  Once the three days and nights were done then Christ rose from the dead, proclaiming victory over sin and death (Revelation 1:18).
