How close was Jesus raising Lazarus to the triumphal entry?
This is a hard question to answer, because the Bible really doesn’t give us a direct amount of time. We do know that it was in December when Jesus crossed to the other side of Jordan, due to the feast of dedication in John 10:22. At some point after this Jesus found out that Lazarus was sick, stayed 2 more days, then took 4 days to get to him (John 11:6, 17), and after raising Lazarus Jesus departed for some time. According to John 12:1 Jesus returned to Bethany 6 days before the Passover, with the triumphal entry the next day (John 12:12), and everyone still remembered Lazarus (John 12:9). This was probably around late March, which is the average of where this falls today. So these events took place relatively close together, however we do not know for sure exactly how close they were.
