Can God ever change?

God is immutable, meaning that He never changes.  The Bible is quiet clear that God remains the same at all times and always will (Malachi 3:6).  Even God the Son, Jesus Christ, will never change in character and righteousness (Hebrews 13:8).  God is longsuffering with people and will give them every opportunity to come to Him for salvation through His Son (2 Peter 3:9).  However, God will judge everyone for their sin and everyone will stand before Him to give an account for what they have done (Romans 14:10; Revelation 20:12).  Since God does not change in character and righteousness, those who refuse to accept His Son will end up in the lake of fire forever (Revelation 20:14).  So remember that God’s patience remains the same, but so does His holiness and in the end He will judge sin and evil.
