Why don’t people believe in Jesus?

There are several reasons for why people do not believe in Jesus.  However, almost all of them can be summarized with just a few.  First, many people hear the gospel but reject it because of the love of the world and its distractions (1 John 2:15-16).  Others hear the gospel and Satan comes in and steals it away (Matthew 13:19).  There are still others that don’t even listen to the gospel because the devil keeps them blinded from the truth (2 Corinthians 4:3-4).  Finally there are those who actively resist and oppose the gospel, fighting hard against the Lord because they actively serve Satan, whether they realize it or not; many times these end up being people who are caught up in religion (John 8:42-44).
