Is sin more powerful than God?

God is more powerful than anything or anyone, considering He is the creator of all things (Colossians 1:16).  However, there are times when it seems that God’s power can be limited.  For instance, Jesus was not able to many miracles at certain times because of the unbelief of the people (Matthew 13:58).  This is not because sin is more powerful than God, but because of the lack of faith of Israel.  God can do whatever He wants, but He only works in the lives of those who put their faith in Him (Hebrews 11:6).  God has proven His power over sin through God the Son, Jesus Christ, in the fact that He rose again from the dead and has given those who put their trust in Him the power to overcome and resist sin (Romans 6).  Remember, nothing is more power than God (Revelation 19:6).
