Do Christians and Muslims worship the same God?

While we use the general English term God when referring to Jehovah (God the Father) and Muslims use the Aramaic term Allah (general term for god), Allah and Jehovah are not the same.  Jehovah is loving, sent His Son to die for us, and offers salvation as a free gift to all who accept it.  Allah is vengeful, has no son, and makes his followers earn salvation through good works (however, it is ultimately up to Allah if one makes it to paradise; so, it really doesn’t matter how much good one does, they can still end up in hell).  While many will try to say that they are the same, Muslims themselves will emphatically tell you they are not.
