Did Jesus really rise from the dead?

There are many people who have come up with alternative theories to explain the empty tomb of Jesus.  The oldest theory is that the disciples stole the body (Matthew 28:11-15).  However, the disciples were too scared and in shock to do so and were fearing for their lives (John 20:19).  Another one is the swoon theory, in which Jesus just passed out and was thought to be dead, woke up and got out of the tomb.  This is hard to believe considering the Romans pierced His side to make sure He was dead (John 19:34).  Also, how could a man who had received such a beating been able to move the stone from in front of the tomb by himself?  These are just two theories that people have come up with to discredit the resurrection.  But one thing they cannot deny is that the tomb was empty!
