Did the Israelites really cross the Red Sea during the Exodus?

There are many scholars that are trying to state that the Israelites did not cross the Red Sea, but a swampland known as the Reed Sea.  They claim this is due to a mistranslation and that this miracle never really happened.  This is due to the presupposition that miracles do not occur, and that God does not intervene in human history.  However, the Bible is never wrong and explains that He made a way for Moses to lead the Israelites across the Red Sea by walking.  Interestingly enough, in the Gulf of Aqaba, which is between the Sinai and Arabian Peninsulas, there are remnants of Egyptian chariots and wheels at the bottom of the Sea, with certain types of wheels dating back to the period of Egypt during the Exodus.  So yes the Israelites really did cross the Red Sea, no matter what “scholars” say.
