Is it alright to believe that God used evolution to create the world?

This idea of theistic evolution, which tries to compromise between the Word of God and secular science, goes completely against many of the key doctrines found in the Bible.  According to evolution death brought man into the world, but the Bible tells us that it is through Adam’s sin that death came into the world (Romans 5:12; 1 Corinthians 15:21-22).  Also the Bible states that God is loving, holy, and just, but the god that would use evolution would be cruel, wicked, and evil (making life forms come about through death and suffering).  These are just two examples of how evolution and God’s Word cannot go together, no matter how hard some may try.
