Why did God make the church?

Many people think the church is a building that people go to worship Jesus and fellowship together.  However, the Bible clearly states that the church is everyone who has accepted Jesus as Lord and Savior.  We are also called the bride of Christ (Revelation 19:7-8) and the body of Christ (Ephesians 1:22-23).  The formation of the church was a mystery to everyone before Paul, because God did not reveal it to them (Ephesians 3:1-7).  God formed this dispensation and the church in order to show His love and grace to the world.  It also takes away the excuse of not believing because of not seeing the wonders God did in the Old Testament.  We are truly blessed for our faith; because even without seeing, we believe (John 20:29).
