Are there any contradictions in the Bible?

Many try to claim the Bible contradicts itself in many places.  However, there are no contradictions within the Bible.  These texts are to be considered problem texts, but only in the sense that they require study to understand what is being said.  One instance of a supposed contradiction is 1 Chronicles 19:8 and 2 Samuel 10:18. Chronicles states that David killed 7000 men and Samuel states that David killed 700 men, or at least that is what many state for a contradiction. However, Samuel actually states that David killed the men of 700 chariots and Chronicles says that he killed 7000 men who fought in chariots. This is easily explained in that there were 700 chariots that were used, and there were chariot teams of 10 men for each chariot. David was able to defeat the chariot teams of 700 chariots. Therefore, there is no contradiction.
