What is Heaven like?

While no one really truly knows or understands what God has in store for those who accept His salvation (1 Corinthians 2:9), we do have some idea of what Heaven will be like from the Bible.  There will be streets made of gold so pure that it will be transparent like glass (Revelation 21:21).  There will be 12 gates and each one will be made of a single pearl (Revelation 21:21).  There will not be a temple or anything because God is present with everyone and His light will shine throughout (Revelation 21:22-23).  There will be no sin, death, sorrow, or pain and we will worship God forever (Revelation 21:4, 27).
