Should Christians only do things for God that they are comfortable with?

Many Christians today are not willing to work for God because they claim that doing certain things makes them uncomfortable or insecure.  Everyone feels this way from time to time in many different tasks within our lives.  Most of the time people push through these feelings to accomplish what they want to do, but when it comes to following Jesus they won’t cross that line.  Jesus told us to take up our cross and follow Him (Matthew 16:24).  This does not mean whenever we feel like it or only on the paths that we approve of.  We are to follow Him all the time.  If we make excuses then He may stop using us for a while (Luke 9:57-62).  So go wherever God sends you; you never know what blessings you will receive by simply obeying.
