What is a reprobate?

The word reprobate is often used in the Bible but not many people know its definition.  While one could go to many sources to find a variety of definitions, the Bible gives us the definition throughout scripture.  A reprobate is someone who is rejected by the Lord (Jeremiah 6:30).  It is also a person who does not have Christ in them (2 Corinthians 13:5).  Finally, a reprobate has a corrupt mind, is abominable, and disobedient (2 Timothy 3:8; Titus 1:16).  The Lord will hand over someone to this mindset if they continually reject salvation and put God so far away that there is no hope of coming back (Romans 1:28).
