Who is Melchizedek?

Melchizedek was a high priest of the Most High God who came and blessed Abraham after his successful rescue of Lot from the kings of the east.  The 7th chapter of the book of Hebrews gives us details about him.  He is the King of righteousness and the King of peace (v. 2), he is without lineage or descent, was made like unto the Son of God, and abides a priest continually (v. 3).  Based on these details Melchizedek can only be a preincarnation of Jesus Christ.  Other accounts in the Bible that refer to Jesus before His incarnation declare Him being in the form of the Son of God (Daniel 3:25) and Jesus is eternal, having no beginning or end (Revelation 1:8; Isaiah 9:6).  Some may not agree with this view, but it is what best aligns with the scriptures.
