Did Jesus ever claim to be God?

There are many who claim that Christians made up a lot of the information in the gospels about 100-200 years after the fact, turning Jesus from a teacher into God.  They state that Jesus never made a claim that He was God.  The reliability of the gospels has been established, so we know they are accurate.  Jesus told the Jews many times that He was God (John 8:58-59; John 10:30-31; John 6:51).  And the Jews knew what Jesus was telling them, since they attempted to kill Him each of these times.  Also, Jesus was convicted of blasphemy by the Sanhedrin for His claim to be the Christ, the Son of God (Matthew 26:64-65).  So, yes Jesus did state that He was God and the Jews refusal to believe it is what brought Him to the cross.
