What is God’s will for our lives?

Many people often wonder what God’s will for their lives is.  God has given us His will through His Bible and has told us what He wants us to do.  One of the first things is that we are not to conform to the world but be transformed by the renewing of our mind (Romans 12:2), this means we are to give our whole being over to God.  God wants us to do good and whatever we do, we are to do it as unto Him (Ephesians 6:6).  If we are to suffer it should be for doing good, not evil (1 Peter 2:15; 3:17).  It is God’s will for us to stand perfect and complete in Him (Colossians 4:12), to sanctify ourselves by controlling our flesh (1 Thessalonians 4:3-8), and to give thanks for everything in our lives (1 Thessalonians 5:18).  By doing these things we will be in the will of God continually.
