Is it ok to ask God why?

Throughout the Bible we read of people asking God why certain things are happening to them.  In the book of Psalms David asks God why numerous times when running from Saul, because David had done nothing wrong to him.  I believe that it is ok to ask God why things are the way they are, but we need to be willing to accept the answer He gives or the fact that He may never tell us the answer.  Remember that God’s ways are not ours and that as long as we are trying to do His will everything will work together for good according to God’s purpose for us (Isaiah 55:9; Romans 8:28).
