If the Jews had not turned from God, would God have let the Gentiles enter into the family of God?

This is a question that many pose, but is really irrelevant.  Israel was destined to turn their back on Jesus and reject Him as the Messiah (Isaiah 53).  God knew that this was going to happen and He planned the church age from the beginning of time (Ephesians 3:2-5).  However, if this would have never happened God would have still allowed for the salvation of the Gentiles through Israel’s example (Isaiah 49:6; 60:3).  Also He promised that Jesus provide a way of salvation for the Gentiles as well (Isaiah 11:10).  So we Gentiles would still have a chance to accept God’s salvation.
